1923 is the year in which the Turkish Republic was founded.

The reason why this exhibition is opened on the August 30th
is because it is a military national holiday
of Turkish Republic and is also called the 'Victory Day'.

...Maurice Blanchot...

“In this house, you will find out how hard it is to be a stranger.
And meanwhile you’ll find out that it’s never easy to escape
from being a stranger. If you miss your country,
here and everyday you will find reasons to miss it more,
but if you achieve forgetting it and loving your new place,
we’ll send you to your own country
where you will begin a new exile
as you feel deterritorialized once again.”

virtual exhibition manifesto

1.
this is not a process of transference of works to the virtual medium after an exhibition.

2.
this is not a process of transference of works from any exhibition.

3.
this is an exhibition itself and you will come across the works
for the first time here.

4.
so to say, the works that you come across are original. they are neither for buying / selling nor for hanging on the walls. you can use them as a desktop image as you wish, that is it.
and besides it, if you wish to hang a print of it on the wall, you can. nobody could stop it, won’t stop it. enjoy it..
5.
there is no need for a concrete, roofed place with walls and rules to be able to see / talk about art and for a thought to become effective. after all, a blog-place is an ‘exhibition house’ which its door is always open.

6.
this is not an exhibition hall that stays open for a day, a week or a month but posted forever to the virtual world. it is going to be here all the time.

7.
everybody is an artist and only ‘desire’ seems critical. the one desiring, will be making or makes his / her own house.

1.
Oturma yerine ancak “inşa etmek”le ulaşıyoruz.
Ya da:
Ancak oturabildiğimizde inşa edebiliriz.
2.
“Varım”, “varsın” sözcükleri şu anlama gelir: oturuyorum, oturuyorsun.
3.
7.
İnşa etmek, (varlığında) oturmaktır.

1.
We attain to dwelling, so it seems, only  by means of building. The latter, building, has the former, dwelling, as its goal.
2.
The old word bauen, to which the  bin belongs, answers: ich bin, du bist mean:
I dwell, you dwell.
3.
Dwelling is the manner in which mortals are on the earth.
4.
We do not dwell because we have built, but we build and have built  because we dwell, that is, because we are dwellers.
5.
To dwell, to be set at peace, means to remain at peace within the free sphere that safeguards each thing in its nature. The fundemental charecters of dwelling is this sparing and preserving.
6.
The sparing itself consists not only in the fact that we don’t harm the one whom we spare but also leave something beforehand in its own nature, when we return it specifically to its being.
7.
Building is really dwelling.

not: bu 7 alıntıda, martin heidegger’in, “inşa etmek, oturmak, düşünmek” makalesinin olcay kunal tarafından yapılan çevirisi baz alınmış, çeviride küçük gözden geçirmelere gidilmiştir. ( cogito, yaz 1996, sayfa: 67-70)
ingilizce alıntılar  albert hofstadter’in ingilizceye çevirdiği “building dwelling thinking” makalesindendir, martin heidegger, , “poetry, language, thought”,
1971 içinde yer almaktadır.

sanal sergi manifestosu
     1.

     6.
1gün, 1 hafta, 1 ay açık bir sergi salonu değildir burası.
sonsuza dek sanal dünyaya postalanmıştır.
o hep burada olacaktır.

     7.
herkes sanatçıdır ve sadece ‘arzu’ kritiktir.
isteyen kendi evini yapa(caktı)r.
